FOTOS: AsÃ quedÃ³ TaiwÃ¡n tras el paso del tifÃ³n Â«MerantiÂ»

El tifÃ³nÂ Â«MerantiÂ» es considerado como el mÃ¡s fuerte que ha azotadoÂ la isla de TaiwÃ¡n en 21 aÃ±os. Su paso cobrÃ³ la vida de una persona y mÃ¡s de 50 heridos.

El Centro de Repuesta de Emergencias aÃºn se encuentra en alerta y preparado ya que se aproxima a la entidad un nuevo tifÃ³n de baja intensidad llamado Â«MalakasÂ».

Se presume queÂ Â«MalakasÂ»Â afectarÃ¡ al este y norte de la isla y se redireccione hacia JapÃ³n maÃ±ana y el sÃ¡bado.

TaiwÃ¡n continÃºa bajoÂ lluvias y vientosÂ y siguen sin electricidad unasÂ 400 mil casas. La elÃ©ctrica Taipower aÃºn no ha activado los dos reactores nucleares que fueron apagados como medida preventiva.

Los fuertes vientos ocasionaronÂ estragos y destrozos en el puerto, calles, casas y hospitales. Sin embargo, las acciones deÂ evacuaciÃ³n y medidas de prevenciÃ³n tomadas no causaron pÃ©rdidas humanas mayores.
